A lively exchange - Networking event at Buschjost GmbH offers exchange of information about the Lean Journey

Experiences were exchanged at the networking event.

Dennis Sofsky led the way through production.

At the end of September, the network OWL Maschinenbau e. V. visited Buschjost GmbH (a company of the IMI Precision Engineering Group) in Bad Oeynhausen. The exchange between the regional companies focused on a Buschjost field report and the topics ‘Lean Manufacturing’ and ‘Total Productive Maintenance’ (TPM). "Particularly in the TPM area, we are strong in the group, if not a benchmark," explained plant manager Andreas Pönnighaus.

After the theory came practice. Dennis Sofsky, Head of Series Production, Patrick Podsigun, Technical Sales, and Holger Frank, Head of Technical Sales, guided the 25 participants, in three groups, through Buschjost's own production facilities. The participants were visibly enthusiastic about the company’s structured and neat production. The demonstration of a set-up workshop was also well received.

The afternoon was rounded off by a sociable get-together, where networking was the main focus. "For us it was a successful event throughout. There was really constructive dialogue on a wide variety of topics," said a pleased Head of Business Development and organiser of the meeting, Niklas Coors, who spoke about the great collaboration with Almut Rademacher, Branch Manager at OWL Maschinenbau e. V. Positive feedback was also received from all participants. "It was nice that Buschjost GmbH provided an exclusive insight" was the general consensus.
