IMI Precision Engineering exhibits at Powtech 2017

The highlight of the exhibition is an all-in-one system for filter applications in arctic environments that can withstand temperatures down to -55 °C. Each of its components is made of high-quality stainless steel – the IMI Maxseal ICO3S pilot valve and an IMI Buschjost 83300 series dust collector valve are shown here.

“Our business is built on extremes” – This is the motto under which IMI Precision Engineering, a world leader in pneumatic motion and fluid control technologies, will be presenting high-quality solutions for filter technology at this year's Powtech in Nuremberg. From 26 to 28 September, visitors will be able to discover innovative products at stand 104 in hall 4. Matching the slogan, the presented products function reliably even in arctic temperatures. Of course, the group of companies will also exhibit an extract from its classic IMI Buschjost filter technology portfolio. In addition to valves and cleaning systems as well as standard, tried-and-tested regulators and valve controllers, individual and customised solutions will also be shown. IMI Norgren and IMI Maxseal combination units, cylinders and regulators will round off the product presentation.

The highlight of the exhibited products is an all-in-one system for filter applications that functions in temperatures well below the freezing point. The individual components of the system – valve controllers, filter regulators, pilot and dust collector valves from the IMI Buschjost and IMI Maxseal brands – are made of high-quality, corrosion-resistant stainless steel and can withstand ambient temperatures down to -55 °C without any problems. ATEX and TR CU 012 approvals (EAC Ex) also allow the system to be used in potentially explosive areas.

Visitors to the stand will also be able to gain insights into the broad IMI Buschjost filter technology portfolio, which offers numerous advantages to its users. The high-quality valves stand out thanks to their long service life and maintenance intervals, and they also operate at pressures up to 10 bar. They are particularly efficient due to their rapid opening and closing times. Tailor-made system solutions are flexible and can be quickly and easily integrated into existing filter units because of their modularity. Valve controllers and differential pressure regulators – which reliably detect the degree of a unit’s contamination and give corresponding signals for cleaning – complement the product range.

The new ISOLine™ cylinder series from IMI Norgren will also be on display. It is equipped with the new Adaptive Cushioning System, a pneumatic damping that is particularly convincing thanks to its very high performance potential. Furthermore, the system automatically adjusts to all changes within an application – for example, to different loads that arise in a cylinder cycle, a working shift or during the service life of the machine. The cylinders comply with ISO 15552 and are up to 20 % lighter than their predecessors. The operational performance has also been significantly improved.
