Climate-neutral mail with GoGreen: For our environment

At the end of May, Buschjost GmbH was once again awarded the GoGreen certificate from Deutschen Post DHL for their active involvement in the topic of environmental protection. This confirms the company compensated for 1.65t CO2 in the year 2012.

Buschjost has been sending all their letters CO2neutral since 10 August 2011. This is made possible by the Deutsche Post DHL GoGreen initiative. For a small extra charge, the CO2 emissions generated by the transport and processing of the entire exchange of letters is measured using an ISO-certified process and then compensated by climate-protection projects.

This money was used specifically to support the following climate protection projects last year:

  • a biomass power plant in India
  • a wind power plant in Nicaragua
  • a wind power plant in China
  • a ceramic water purifier in Cambodia
  • a landfill gas plant in Turkey
  • reforestation in Uganda

“We are very happy that we have been able to make a contribution towards environmental protection with GoGreen”, explains Buschjost CEO Oliver Wehking. “We have made a commitment to minimise the effects of our business activities on the environment as far as possible. It is part of our company philosophy that we take on social responsibility and support the sustainability of our business environment.”
