Buschjost makes Christmas donation: to a worthy cause

"Social responsibility towards our region is an integral part of our corporate philosophy," explains Torsten Bredthauer, Head of Marketing at Buschjost. In early December, he delivered the now traditional Christmas donation to the Ronald McDonald House in Bad Oeynhausen. This is the fourth time that Buschjost GmbH has decided to forego giving customers and business partners expensive Christmas gifts and to make a donation instead.

The Ronald McDonald House in Bad Oeynhausen offers accommodation to 12 families of seriously ill children over the period of their treatment. Donations are used not only to fund the running of the House but also for essential renovation work, such as fitting wardrobes or installing new exterior lighting in 2012.

Since 2001, the Ronald McDonald House in Bad Oeynhausen has provided a centre for families of seriously ill children who are being treated at the Heart and Diabetes Centre North Rhine-Westphalia. It offers accommodation to about 250 families every year. The Ronald McDonald House Charity (RMHC), which has been active in Germany since 1987, runs the centre. During this time, the RMHC has built 18 Ronald McDonald Houses, which it also operates.

Thorsten Bredthauer had the opportunity to find out about the work of the organisation at first hand: "The commitment with which the staff here meet the daily challenges is remarkable. We are only too pleased to offer our support." He is convinced that the donation will also receive a positive response from customers and business partners. "We told everyone about our donation in our Christmas cards and we have always received positive feedback in the past."
