Applications |

For more than 30 years we have constructed and produced solenoid valves, externally controlled valves and complete systems for the water cycles in coaches and buffet cars of the railway industry. Based on the experience of the Deutsche Bahn AG, these valves are designed amongst others according to the following technical criteria: sleeve-space protection, large rated voltage range, low input, protective circuit etc.
Every year, more than 25,000 valves are produced for applications and projects in the field of railway engineering throughout Europe, for example for:
  • Central drainage in coaches and buffet cars
  • Barrier hand wash basin toilet
  • Pressure tightness in buffet cars
  • Drainage pumps
  • Inlet valves for toilets
  • Syphon drainage
  • Steam heating
  • UV sterilisation
  • Fresh water conveyors (systems)
  • Grey water conveyors (systems)
  • Recontamination barriers (systems) etc.

Naturally we also deal with medium to long-term development studies. For the project "Central Water Systems" we have developed special drainage units for the intercar areas for the service water as well as the sewage systems. If such systems should have to be used in future by the industry, IMI Buschjost is the right brand here for the valve area. Newest developments increasingly assume complete systems. Our components like fresh water conveyors, grey water conveyors and recontamination barriers were provided by our development teams for the industry within a short space of time and are used in the ICE3 and ICT.
