Wish list fulfilled - Buschjost makes donations at Christmas time

Buschjost GmbH took part in the initiative “Wünsch dir was” [Make a wish] once again this year, which was organised by Herford’s Verein Karlsson e. V. More than 50 employees from the company supported the drive, making the Christmas wishes of children and young people from financially deprived families come true.

Jutta La Mura (second from the left) and Jonas Feldmann (second from the right) accepted the parcels in mid-December to distribute them in good time for Christmas Eve. Vanessa Reimann (far left) and Nicole Schröder (far right), marketing assistants at Buschjost, handed over the presents on behalf of all members of staff who got involved.

Donations instead of gifts – that has already become a tradition at Buschjost GmbH, an IMI Precision Engineering company. Once again, the company decided against Christmas gifts for customers and business partners this year in favour of donating to a good cause. For the third time, it lent support to the appeal “Wünsch dir was” [Make a wish] organised by Verein Karlsson e.V. in Herford. This drive makes the wishes of children and young people from financially deprived families in the region come true.

“Social commitment forms part of our company’s ethos,” Buschjost’s Managing Director Oliver Wehking explained. “And it gives us particular pleasure to be able to get involved in this great initiative locally. We hope to bring some joy to children at Christmas time.”

It’s not just Buschjost itself, but numerous employees also took part in the drive, making it possible to fulfil a total of 111 wish lists from children and young people aged between 1 and 21, or even from entire families. The value of the packages was upwards of EUR 20 per child, and accordingly higher for families. “I am very proud of the social commitment shown by our employees and thank everyone for every single initiative,” Oliver Wehking was delighted to say.

A book, a car, a doll or a soft toy, but also a warm jacket, trousers and other items of clothing: many wishes are not that large. Meeting them, however, conjures a smile on children’s faces. And the employees did not have to be called upon twice. The presents were piling up at Buschjost in no time at all.

Vanessa Reimann and Nicole Schröder from Marketing handed over the many small parcels to Jutta La Mura and Jonas Feldmann from Verein Karlsson e.V. in mid-December. They then took care to ensure the presents were distributed in good time for Christmas together with their team.
