Buschjost GmbH becomes part of IMI Precision Engineering

Bad Oeynhausen. Buschjost GmbH, a renowned specialist in the development and manufacture of process valves, has been trading as IMI Precision Engineering since the beginning of 2015. This rebranding is part of a realignment of the British parent company IMI plc: By creating three new divisions, all existing technologies, resources and experiences are bundled and made available for the entire group. In so doing, best practice and innovation are shared and stimulated efficiently.

IMI Precision Engineering is formed by Buschjost and other sister companies. All of them are trading under the division’s name. Therefore, the Buschjost location in Bad Oeynhausen turns into a German IMI Precision Engineering site. Nevertheless the name “Buschjost” endures: On the one hand, “Buschjost GmbH” remains the official legal name of the company. On the other hand, most of the products manufactured by Buschjost GmbH are distributed under the product brand IMI Buschjost.

“Despite numerous changes and an increased international focus, Bad Oeynhausen is and remains our development and production site. We rely on familiar faces and preserve all of the workplaces”, stresses Oliver Wehking, managing director of Buschjost GmbH. “Now and in the future, we put great emphasis on the business location of eastern Westphalia. At the same time we offer exciting career prospects due to our connection to an internationally active group of companies.”

For more than 80 years, process valves for liquid and gaseous media are successfully developed and manufactured in Bad Oeynhausen. IMI Buschjost products range from solenoid and control valves to pressure-actuated angle-seat valves up to customer-specific solutions. The valves and systems are used in various areas of application, for example in mechanical and plant engineering, in the basic and automotive industry or in the field of energy generation and environmental protection. All essential IMI Buschjost components are produced in own manufacturing plants and exhibit a real “made in Germany”-quality.
