Fundraising campaign at Buschjost: Social commitment is part of corporate culture

As part of a training day on responsible corporate management - IMI Way Day - which was organised on a global scale by Buschjost parent company IMI plc. during the summer at all IMI establishments, the entire Buschjost workforce collected donations for Förderkreis Kinderhaus Bad Oexen e.V., a support organisation for sick children in Bad Oeynhausen. The total amount raised was 1,132.89 EUR, which included an additional donation by Buschjost GmbH.

The donation is to be used to help children and teenagers during their stay at Bad Oexen Hospital for rehabilitation after cancer. And here the money is put to good use: The organisation finances various projects throughout the year, like play landscapes, therapeutic riding or musical instruments for music therapy. The association also provides humanitarian aid by providing families in need with financial assistance for trips out and other community activities during rehabilitation.

Marketing manager, Torsten Bredthauer, presented the donation to the organisation and was able to see for himself that it will be put to good use. "Social commitment has been an integral part of our corporate culture for years and we are delighted to be able to offer support with our donation."

The IMI Way was set up by IMI plc in May 2009. It is a code of conduct for all employees of the IMI Group. It sets out the values for fair and sustainable business activities. So that every employee is familiar with these values and takes them to heart, it is important that they are communicated and, even more importantly, lived and acted upon continually.
