GoGreen is successfully underway at Buschjost: Carbon-neutral postal shipping

Buschjost GmbH has now received its first GoGreen certificate for its active involvement in climate protection issues. The certificate confirms that, since the middle of August last year, the Company has offset 0.66 tonnes of CO2. The certificate was issued by Deutsche Post DHL's Carbon Management.

Buschjost has been supporting Deutsche Post DHL's GoGreen activities since 20.08.2011. In return for slightly higher charges, the CO2 emissions generated as a result of the transportation and processing of our letter correspondence are measured against an ISO-certified process and are then offset via climate protection projects.

In concrete terms, we helped fund the following climate protection projects last year:

  • a hydroelectric power plant in Brazil
  • a landfill power plant in Turkey
  • a wind power plant in China
  • a biomass power plant in India
  • a wind power plant in Nicaragua

Buschjost is therefore sending another signal that it is seeking to make a lasting contribution in the battle against global climate change and for a healthy environment. "We are striving, in general terms, to be as frugal as possible with all our resources. We are committed to our responsibility to look after mankind and the environment", declared Oliver Wehking, Managing Director of Buschjost.
