Buschjost celebrates with 800 members of staff and their families:
Successful anniversary festivities
Last weekend, Buschjost Norgren GmbH + Co. KG celebrated its 75th anniversary under the motto
“The future’s green” with all of its current and former employees.
The celebrations got under way in the morning with an open day to which the whole family was invited.
Some 800 people came to the event and spent an unforgettable day there.
"These festivities are a way of saying thank you to all of our employees, both present and past, without whom
75 years of Buschjost would not have been possible at all.” said Buschjost Director Michael Preinerstorfer.
And the management’s idea of staging such an event was a great success. The employees clearly enjoyed
showing their families around the company.
There were games and special attractions all about Buschjost spread out over the entire day, for example a
van packed full of various games from the town of Vlotho or a merry-go-round.
A further highlight for some 140 young visitors was the field with ponies for riding. Performance artist
Astrid Ramic also entertained young and old with her balloon figures and coloured slime.
Family members of the employees were able to get a behind-the-scenes insight into the production and
administration departments during guided tours of the company.
There was no shortage of refreshments, either. The guests were treated to barbecued specialities, pizza,
ice-cream and cake the whole day, while jazz duo Adriana & Jörg provided the musical entertainment.
The evening festivities were continued in the marquee and the band “Sunrise” created the right atmosphere
for some dancing. The performance by cabaret artists “Kantlinge“ from Immanuel-Kant-Gymnasium Bad Oeynhausen
(grammar school), which Buschjost has actively worked together with for many years, was a particular feast
for the senses. When the company held its anniversary celebrations for customers in June, the guests were asked
to make donations instead of presents. The grammar school will now receive €1000 in support of the “Maths
Olympics” in 2009. €750 will go to Wittekindshof School in Bad Oeynhausen to put together the 2009 annual
calendar and €590 will be received by Hauptschule Bad Oeynhausen Nord for the organisation and implementation
of career days for school leavers.
