German customers place their trust in Buschjost
Torsten Bredthauer
"Buschjost is and will continue to be the strong brand in Germany!" There is a good reason why Torsten
Bredthauer, Sales Manager for Germany at Buschjost, expresses his satisfaction in just one sentence: Last
year saw another significant rise in domestic sales of Buschjost products: "We have been enjoying constant
growth for a long time now which is well above the rate of growth in the sector – we are clearly
gaining market share in Germany!"
The top-selling sector in Germany is still mechanical and plant engineering from which Buschjost
generates almost one third of its domestic turnover. Environmental and power plant engineering is
another strong market in Germany which is continually growing and accounts for some 20 percent of
Buschjost’s domestic sales. "Both sectors", states Torsten Bredthauer, "are lines of business in which
technological demands rise rapidly. Many market leaders develop their products in Germany for mechanical
and plant engineering and also for power plant engineering applications. Our development department with
its highly-skilled team enables us to work in close proximity with the client."
In keeping with its motto "Winning with the Winners", the Bad Oeynhausen-based company has become a
premium product partner for many world-famous brands. A fact which Torsten Bredthauer does not only
attribute to the superiority of Buschjost valves and system solutions in terms of engineering and
quality. "Our selling power also plays a role here. Since the products manufactured by Buschjost are
technically sophisticated, a strong sales department is needed. Since all of our sales staff come from
a technical background with extensive practical experience, they have the expertise required to come
up with new ideas together with our business associates and, of course, our development department.
This always involves interaction between the sales department, the engineering department, and the client.
They work hand in hand to identify approaches as to how Buschjost can achieve even greater customer
benefit by improving and modifying its products."
The Key Account Mangers play a vital role with their specialist knowledge acquired over many years at
Buschjost. Torsten Bredthauer remarks: "Many of our clients have grown with us – or rather we have
grown with them. The responsible contact persons at Buschjost have, in general, stayed the same for many,
many years. This is a clear advantage for our clients. Owing to the development of a common mindset and
the fact that lengthy explanations are often unnecessary, it is possible to save rather a large amount
of time. This means that the business relationship is characterised by a very high degree of mutual
efficiency. Our long-standing cooperation has resulted in our being thoroughly acquainted with the markets
of our partners and we are familiar with their specific needs and requirements. This is an ideal basis
to create an increase in customer benefit and optimal results with tailor-made solutions for our clients."
Virtually all of these tailor-made solutions are based on the Buschjost product platforms which are
unparalleled in terms of its breadth. Torsten Bredthauer explains: "Thanks to the cooperation within
Norgren Fluid Controls, we are able to offer a range of products like no other manufacturer. Our
portfolio ranges from valves between 8 and 200 millimetres. Our valves are designed to withstand
temperatures of –196 °C to +300 °C and they cover a range of pressures from a vacuum up to 300 bar. This,
too, is one of the particular strengths of the Buschjost brand."
