IMI Norgren Buschjost GmbH & Co. KG has seen rapid positive development over the past years. The international company is
steadily growing as it continues to set new technological standards for the industry. To maintain this impetus Buschjost
is now investing in its site on the Lohe, with the primary objective of expanding machining capacity. The total capital
expenditure will amount to 2.7 million euros. "Our aim is to continue to develop and consolidate our facility and enhance
our core competencies. This will enable us to continue our successful involvement in the market and to serve our customers
even more effectively and quickly", explains Buschjost Technical Manager Oliver Wehking.
The ground-breaking ceremony heralding the construction of the new production building will take place this week.
A wide variety of machining centres will soon be accommodated on its floor space of 1,500 square metres. This will release
space in the existing three production buildings for even more machines. As the next step Buschjost then plans to remodel
its administrative accommodation. All of the construction work is being organised by a small in-house team.
And Buschjost is not just investing in more space, as the upgrading project will also create numerous new jobs. For example,
the company has just decided that from 2008 the number of new training positions will be boosted from six to eight.
This means Buschjost will be training a total of 24 young people each year. "Our own highly qualified trainees are an
indispensable element of our strategy for growth. Experience has show that the young people we train can quickly make a
decisive, focused contribution to the success of the company ", says General Manager Michael Preinerstorfer.
As another growth measure Buschjost's parent company Norgren has recently bought out the ten percent minority holding
of the Buschjost family. This will enable the firm to operate more independently in the future. Buschjost has also only
recently undergone a strategic realignment. In addition to its established market in mechanical and process plant
engineering, the company is focusing its activities on the newly created sector of Environment and Energy,
which is handled by a global team with the appropriate expertise. "The newly created structure ensures a high degree of
stability for the successful activities of the company and forms a solid foundation for continued rapid growth. It will
enable us to continue to fully satisfy all of our customers' needs in the future", says Michael Preinerstofer.
Buschjost has been successfully involved in process valve technology for over 50 years and is one of the most innovative
manufacturers of solenoid valves and system solutions. One major advantage of the company is its high level of vertical
integration, which allows a nimble response to all customer requirements and market developments. Since 1997 the
320-strong firm has been a member of the Norgren Group – one of the world’s leading manufacturers of pneumatic and fluid
control and automation systems.
