Management Strengthened in Face of Continued Growth: New Management Duo at Buschjost

At the beginning of June 2007 IMI Norgren Buschjost GmbH & Co. KG reorganised its top management by appointing
Oliver Wehking Technical Manager alongside Michael Preinerstorfer.
Buschjost has seen rapid positive development over the past years. The international company is steadily
growing as it continues to set new technological standards for the industry. To maintain this impetus Buschjost
has only recently undergone a strategic realignment. In addition to its established market in mechanical and
process plant engineering, the firm is focusing its activities on the newly created sectors of Environment and
Energy and Water, each of which is handled by a global team with the appropriate expertise. The strengthening
of management is now a further step in the process of coping with the realignment. "The newly created structure
ensures a high degree of stability for the successful activities of the company and forms a solid foundation
for continued rapid growth", says Michael Preinerstorfer.
About a year ago Buschjost, FAS and KIP also pooled their expertise to bring Norgren Fluid Controls into being.
Each of these long-term members of the international Norgren Group already has a de facto high worldwide
reputation in the manufacture of solenoid and process valves. The merger generates important potential synergies,
which the management duo would like to exploit in order to, for example, pursue joint developments for the
German market.
"The new setup will enable us to continue to fully satisfy all customer requirements", explains Oliver Wehking.
The two managers have already resolved to undertake major changes involving further development of the
Bad Oeynhausen and extension of key competencies. "Our technical side will also be focused more closely on the
global competition", adds Oliver Wehking.
Immediately after gaining his university entrance qualification, Wehking switched to a degree in mechanical
engineering followed by a placement at Buschjost. Over the past ten years this has enabled him to gain experience
in the development of new valves in numerous multidisciplinary projects covering the entire process from
customer liaison through design to production. The 38-year-old started his career in Quality Assurance in
Buschjost, became Deputy Manager of this department in 1999, then Production Manager, and finally in 2006
finally took over full responsibility for production, which he will continue to have.
