In May 2009, our parent company launched the “IMI Way”, a code of conduct for all employees.
This includes a set of values that unite and guide us:

For the second year running, our parent company, IMI plc, has been selected as a member of the Dow Jones Sustainability Index, which admits only those businesses that achieve top 20% scores on demanding sustainability criteria.

Each of the IMI platform businesses are instrumental in achieving this status and it is a clear demonstration of our commitment to delivering sustainability programmes.
The group focus is on four key areas:

• health and safety
• supporting customers’ responsible business priorities
• supply chain risks
• energy efficiency opportunities

In 2009, IMI plc was again included in the FTSE4Good Index. IMI signed up to the United Nations Global Compact in 2006. Maintaining our performance against these demanding standards extends through the whole supply chain. Careful attention is paid to ensuring that we and our suppliers conduct all activities in a sustainable manner.
