Filter valves for separating corrosive media:
Something to suit every application
Cleaning corrosive, dust-laden media presents a special challenge to both filter and filter cleaning systems.
Buschjost offers some new filter valves that have been specially designed for this field of application to suit a wide
range of loadings. To cover the widest spectrum of use our engineers developed four different solutions:
For filters used with average corrosive media a new series has been developed which ensures that the outlet is
permanently flushed with air to prevent the medium emerging from the filter from adhering.
For slightly corrosive media Buschjost offers valves modified as required with a stainless steel seat and pipe or
with a special resistant coating.
The latest series of filter valves were designed for the most severe conditions with corrosive filter media.
They are manufactured completely out of stainless steel.
The key component of these filter valves is a diaphragm made from particularly resistant, high performance TPE, which
can withstand many types of chemical attack. Just like a standard diaphragm, the new, high performance diaphragm ensures
particularly fast opening times, steep pressure increase curves and high air flows. And as with the standard valves, this
diaphragm is a one-piece component. The form of the plastic diaphragm dispenses with a diaphragm spring, making diaphragm
replacement during servicing a quick and easy task.
All valves in the series for corrosive media are available in nominal sizes from 3/4 to 3 inches, and as stainless steel
valves from 3/4 to 1 1/2 inches. They can be operated with electromagnetic or indirect pneumatic controls and work with
fluid temperatures of -40 to +85 °C - alternatively -20 to +140 °C - and with allowable pressures of 0.4 to 8 bar.
Solenoids are available for all commonly used voltages from 12 V to 230 V, for DC and AC and with approvals such as ATEX
and UL.
