Sturdy valves with straight seats
Angle seat valves are not always the best solution, as, especially in combination with flange
connections, their overall length is growing. Buschjost has developed a new series of piloted
valves with straight seats and a powerful actuator that makes them suitable for even very dirty
or high viscosity (up to 600 mm2/s) fluids. The body geometry and flow characteristics have been
optimised with sophisticated computer-aided simulation tools in order to achieve a very compact
and short design that still achieves comparatively high flow capacities.
The actuators are derived from the successful angle seat valve. Neutral pilot fluids such as air
or water bring the actuator into the required position. In the normal position compression springs
produce a tight seal.
The design quality of the standard models ensures reliable operation with fluids at temperatures
of up to 180 degrees. Special models can even withstand considerably higher temperatures.
This series is rounded off by a comprehensive range of accessories, including pilot valve,
NAMUR adapter plate, position indicator and stroke limiting system.
The valves will be available in nominal diameters from DN 15 to 50, with DIN or ANSI connections.
The very good value for money offered by this all stainless steel series lifts it well above the
normal market standard.
