Stainless Steel Pulse Valves Take Filters to Cleaners
Aluminium does not always meet the requirements imposed on the materials of
valves used in dust cleaning systems. Buschjost has supplemented the 82900 and
82960 filter pulse valves with stainless steel models specifically designed for
such cases. The new 83300 and 83320 series now provide alternatives suitable for
use in mining, the food industry and aggressive environments. Coming in nominal
diameters of up to G 1 1/2, they ensure rapid, efficient and thorough cleaning of
the filters. All of the valves in the series may be indirectly actuated
pneumatically or with a solenoid.
For ease of installation, even in tight spaces, the Buschjost designers have
provided a simple, twist-on bayonet connection between the valve body and the
solenoid, all of whose components are captive to avoid getting lost.
The bodies are optimised to achieve the fast opening, optimised peak pressures
and high air flows demanded for effective cleaning. With a G 1 1/2 connection the
Kv value is 59m3/h. All of the valves in the series are also fitted with a
silencer. This reduces noise to the extent that the valves can even be located
close to the production area. The newly developed diaphragm guide provides
reliable operation in all ranges and a long service life. Solenoid pilot actuation
offers maximum protection against icing. The standard valves operate at fluid
temperatures between -40 und +85 degrees, and special models at up to 140 degrees
Celsius. The filter pulse valves are designed for a pressure of 0.4 to 8 bar.
All of the valves of the 82960 and 83320 series, from G 3/4 to G 1 1/2, operate
with the same interchangeable solenoid system. DC and AC versions are available
for all of the common voltages from 12 to 230V. There are also a large number of
solenoids with special approvals, such as ATEX and UL.
