Cleaner Air Improves Results
We are led to believe that planing inevitably means savings everywhere. The
dusty atmosphere produced is not only a health hazard, but also tends to
compromise workshop productivity and the quality of the end products.
Sophisticated exhaust and filter systems can help, provided they have been
properly designed and are always operating at maximum efficiency. The new
generation of control systems keeps air quality acceptable and filters clean at
all times. But not only for cleaning air, also in various areas of process
technology, there are applications for these new products.
The Buschjost modular control system handles a wide variety of cleaning modes,
an unrestricted choice of pulse durations and intervals, and differential
pressure regulation. Its modularity allows a close match with almost any
requirement profile. Expansion modules providing more capacity and new functions
make it a completely future-proof investment.
The system revolves around the basic module. This is equipped with a central
control unit, integral power supply and 8 or 16 outputs for controlling filter
pulse valves. The basic module can be fitted with an optional differential
pressure regulator. Its wide selection of other modules allow it to be expanded
into a customised, complex control and visualisation system for dust cleaning
systems with up to 256 valve outlets. Expansion modules include 8 or 16 outputs,
operating hours meter, discharge and beater controller, etc. Depending on the
filter system, outputs for controlling solenoid valves, and with pilot valves
accommodated in the housing of the control system, are available.
The control system is very easily installed. The basic and expansion modules
only have to be connected to standardised bus and power cables. Connection to host
networks is facilitated by the RS 232 interface. Parameters are entered in
response to user-friendly menus on the control terminal or a computer.
